1. Buy In Bulk & Stock

If it is something you will frequently use, it is better to buy now and save later. You can also save yourself a trip to the grocery store!

2. Buy Generic Brands

Most stores offer generic brands of the same product for a lower cost than other named brands. Just be sure to check your labels!

3. Buy Produce In Season

This part requires doing a little research, but knowing what is in season can help you save and you can also get a little creative with some recipes!

4. Buy Items On Sale

Check your grocery store newspaper, websites, and sign up to get coupons. More items go on sale at nighttime because they want to restock in the morning.

5. Buy Organic Frozen Fruits & Vegetables

Most fresh produce go bad quickly anyways, either cut it up and freeze it or buy frozen cause it’ll last longer!

6. Whole Foods Are Cheaper Than Processed Foods

Frozen and processed foods won’t fill you up as much as whole foods would. Besides, you’ll get more for your money than buying a frozen dinner.

7. Write A Grocery List & Stick With It

It’s easy to get sidetracked when you don’t plan and shopping when you’re hungry is only going to make you crave anything in sight and start buying things you don’t need.

8. Cook At Home, In Bulk & Use Your Left Overs

You can make multiple meals for almost the same price as buying one take out. You can prepare for the whole week and you’ll always be aware of what is in your food!

9. Grow Your Own Produce & Herbs

With just a few cents that seeds cost you can grow your garden. Not only will it save you money but you can be sure that it’ll be organic!

10. Pack Your Lunch

Eating out will only add up overtime. With a little time and effort, you can pack your lunch and snacks, save money and eat healthier!

You don’t have to break the bank to eat well. Even if it costs a little more to eat healthier it is going to be worth it down the line. You really can’t put a price on good health!
